How do I manifest my desires? It's not as difficult as you think! I will show you a simple manifestation technique I use to manifest my desires, and IT WORKS! Keep reading if you want to unlock who you truly are and if you want to understand how to set an intention that will materialize into your reality. 

Going into a new year is exciting.  We can completely shed our old selves.  I take the last month of the year to reflect on who I am, what goals I hit or missed, and where I’d like to be moving forward.  Who am I and how do I want others to perceive me?  (Insider tip – you don’t have to do this at the end of a year – it can be done at any time)

Several times I have tried to be something that just didn’t fit quite right.  Has this ever happened to you?  It was as if I was attempting to live up to someone else’s view of me. Well, not anymore!  I love that I can shed that persona and try again.

Do you know who Oprah is?  How about Justin Bieber?  The President of the USA?  We all know who these people are – as do they.  Oprah and Justin Bieber know they are mega-stars, The President knows he is governing a great nation.  Nothing you or I say will change what they know of themselves.  They just are! – and the kicker is they chose to be!

We need to choose to be as well!  What does that mean?  . . . So glad you asked!!!   First, I propose we be realistic with ourselves.  I will never be an award winning actor or musical mega-star!  Mostly because it's not who I want to be or am passionate about being.  People have often told me I am very creative, crafty, get good ideas, etc.  Yes, I am those things and have a passion for those things but it only complements who I am.  They are just things or descriptors that make up me.   I am not a “Martha Stewart type” but I do use my creativity to be who I want to be.  People see one thing about us and they make suggestions of what you should be or do.  Be careful of this pitfall!  We need to be true to ourselves.  Sound like a cliché?  It does – but it is true!  I cannot be what others think me to be or suggest I be.  If this is evident, then I need to change their perception of me.  They need to see me the way I want them to see me.  To do this – I need to change my perception of myself!

What we are told we are and what we intend to be can be very different.  We do not have to be confined.  We need to stop giving others permission to define us!  It takes some of us years to decide what we want to be and then we have the prerogative to change our minds as we age or life circumstances change.  By not defining who I was or being who my heart wanted to be, I gave others a pass to mold me.  Who I became was a confused, pliable piece of clay - YUK!  I need to be pliable to my own desires.  So - I took the time to really think of my desires for myself!  I do this often (I like the last month of the year as a start point.)  Then  – I write it down and don’t share it!!!  I keep it to myself until others realize it of me! I don’t share because if they don’t see my vision they might offer negative, discouraging responses. By keeping it to myself I have the chance to fully mold it into my own vision.  By writing it down, I can review it often and make sure I am on track and note my successes.

With self-reflection, we begin working on our intentions of being who we want to be.  My number one step is to put a lot of thought into who I want to be.  I mean really want to be – not some whim or flighty idea.  What my heart tells me I am.  Once I have that thought, I begin visualizing myself in that role.  How I will dress, style my hair, who I talk to, car I drive, etc.  Every night for about 10 minutes,  I enjoy being that person.  That vision of my very best self – my “I am-ness”.  Every morning while I get ready for the day, I dwell on being her.  Throughout the day I listen to My Personal Affirmations to give me the courage and strength to become her.  In my 10 minutes before bed, I think of how people will respond to me if I were who I want to be.  What will they say?  I then begin coming up with responses.  I do this so often that I can feel myself being my best self.  I am literally beginning to embody who I am!

Next, I have found it’s important to have a catch phrase.  One particular thing that I want to hear and a catch phrase in response.  For instance, if I want to be a supervisor at my job, I may hear the owner saying: “congratulations, I am promoting you”.  My catch phrase would be “thank you, I worked hard for this.”  Or if I wanted to win a big dance award, I might see my best friend bringing me congratulatory flowers and my catch phrase being “wasn’t it a wonderful routine?”  Make this real for you.   Set the catch phrase to be something within your character.  Every night, fall asleep saying it over and over again.

Please don’t get anxious with the timeline!  I am learning (through much impatience) that this can set us back.  We become disappointed and want the mountain to move quicker than is physically possible.  Keep in mind it may take time for our “I AM-ness” to become reality.  Make smaller goals along the way, stay focused, and remember we are setting ourselves in motion for success.  Lastly, do nothing to contradict who you intend to be.  Don’t sabotage yourself.  Speak and act and feel who you are!  Do not reminisce about the who you are shedding.  I just let her go to become who I am!

We are the masters of our fate!  We can be all we want to be, we need to work at it.  Oprah, Justin Bieber and the President didn’t wake up to be who they are.  They worked hard to become who they are.  There really aren’t any free passes!
